I had a prostate biopsy earlier in the week, after getting high values on two successive PSA tests, and with my maternal grandfather having died of prostate cancer.
Just got the pathology report back—absolutely no sign of cancer, or even of inflammation. No one knows why I'm running a PSA of 4.5 at age 45, so they'll be monitoring me closely. But given my family history of prostate cancer, I'm very, very relieved. (B)
