I've had it with Drupal's accursed online editing with no means of recovery. I can't work like this anymore…
I've gotten in the habit lately, when composing longer blog entries, of submitting the entry early with the "published" flag turned off so that no one can see it. That way, when I bump a key or forget and click a link in my browser, I don't lose the entire entry, just the part since the last save.
Recently, I've forgotten to take this precaution a couple of times, and have lost significant text. Tonight I lost an almost-completed long entry. I'll type it in again, but not here.
I had the offline editing stuff working with emacs a while back, but it was so awkward I gave up on it. I have to find something, though.
I guess for now I'll edit the blog entries in textfiles and just paste them in. What fun.
